Brookfield Residential Properties Inc. was formed on March 31, 2011, from the merger of Brookfield Office Properties’ residential division (Carma Developers LP) and Brookfield Homes Corporation.
Brookfield Asset Management Inc. first invested in Carma Developers over two decades ago. By merging Carma and Brookfield Homes, we created the sixth largest residential platform by land and housing assets in North America, strengthening our ability to collaborate and share new and emerging ideas across our business units.
While our name has changed, the way we do business has not. We have been developing land and building homes for over 50 years.
